Hurray the ‘Dijkknoop’ (Dike-Knot) is back!

In October 2017 a truck with crane damaged the ‘Dijkknoop’ (1997) beyond repair. This knot, the last one on the sculpture route of seven cast-iron knots placed in Baarlo in the period of 1992-1997, stands on the levee which protects the village Baarlo from the overflow of the Maas river. Like a Tori, it also marks the riverside entrance to the village.

We are happy to announce the ‘Dijkknoop’ has been recast and installed on the 4th of June 2020.
