Museum Cobra in Amstelveen opened its fully renewed permanent collection presentation Cobra: More than Human, on 23 May 2026, featuring six works by Shinkichi Tajiri. The show explores Cobra across six themes including freedom under pressure, man and animal, and matter in movement. It places the movement not just as a historical moment but as a living set of questions about art, society and what it means to be human. Shinkichi Tajiri met Karel Appel, Constant and Corneille in Paris and participated at the landmark 1949 exhibition at the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam and the 1951 exhibition in Palais des Beaux-arts in Liège.
